Classic Shepherd's Pie
Regardless of what you call it, our shepherd's pie is basically a casserole with a layer of cooked rosemary seasoned ground beef with a tomato base, topped with mashed potatoes, and baked in the oven until the mashed potatoes are golden atop. What we REALLY call it in the south, is just pure deliciousness. This dish is prepared in a 1/3 pan, and serves 4-6 people.
